With the promotion of Brian Snitker to interim manager of the Braves, the Gwinnett Braves announced Tuesday afternoon that Rick Albert will replace Snitker in the G-Braves’ dugout.

While Albert was announced as G-Braves manager, he’ll be joined by Mike Alvarez as the club’s new pitching coach. Alvarez replaces Marty Reed, who goes with Snitker to the Braves as the team’s bullpen coach.

Albert and Alvarez will join the G-Braves on Thursday, and in the meantime, hitting coach John Moses will be the G-Braves’ interim manager.

The G-Braves are 19-20 and in second place in the International League South Division.
