Almost three months after he stepped down from the Angels, the Seattle Mariners may have found their new general manager.
Jim Bowden, of ESPN, reported that the Mariners are expected to offer the GM job to former Los Angeles Angels GM Jerry Dipoto.
Dipoto is currently an assistant in the Red Sox front office, NBC Sports is reporting.
Dipoto will replace Jack Zduriencik.
Zduriencik was fired in August after seven seasons of no playoff appearances, Bleacher Report said.
Dipoto resigned from the Angels after 3 1/2 years, The Los Angeles Times reported in July.
He then took a job as an interim evaluator of players for the Red Sox in August, The Boston Globe reported.
