Outfielder Justin Upton led the Braves in homers in his two seasons with the Atlanta Braves.

Justin Upton's two-year stint with the Atlanta Braves ended with the two-time All-Star outfielder being sent to the San Diego Padres for a group of prospects.

With Justin Upton's arrival for the 2013 season, the Braves billed their outfield "Up, Up and a Hey." Brother B.J. Upton remains with the club, while Jason Heyward was traded earlier this offseason to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Eight weeks after signing center fielder B.J. Upton (left) to the biggest free-agent contract in franchise history (five years, $75.25 million) in 2013, the Braves traded for his younger brother. Justin Upton, a two-time All-Star finished fourth in the National League MVP balloting in 2011, when he had career-highs of 31 homers, 88 RBIs and 21 stolen bases and won the Fielding Bible Award as the best defensive right fielder in the majors.

In two seasons in Atlanta, Justin Upton led the Braves with 56 homers in that span. Only right-handed hitter had more homers than Upton in the National League last season, Miami's Giancarlo Stanton (37).

Justin Upton was among the NL strikeout leaders in 2013 (161) and 2014 (171).

The Upton brothers both homered in three of the first 20 games they played together as Braves. Together they played in more than 200 games. They matched a Major League record in June 2014, homering for the fourth time in the same game as teammates. The only other brother combos to match this total are Vladimir and Wilton Guerrero and Jason and Jeremy Giambi.

Justin Upton, an eight-year veteran, batted .270 last season with 29 homers and 102 RBIs in 154 games for the Atlanta Braves.

Justin Upton played 150 games - most of any player in the National League - in left field last season. He led the league in putouts (271) and errors (8) in that position.

Justin Upton won a Silver Slugger with the Braves in 2014.

Justin Upton had one more season, worth $14.5 million, on a contract he originally signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011.
