Drafted by the Braves from the Oakland Athletics in the 1968 rule 5 draft, Darrell Evans played nine years in Atlanta, including the final season of a 21-year career in 1989. As a Brave, Evans batted .246 with 131 homers and 434 RBIs. He was a one-time All-Star in 1973 when he slammed 41 homers and 104 RBIs.
