More teams reportedly interested in Justin Upton

The Atlanta Braves have been busy this offseason and may be in the market for a trade of outfielder Justin Upton.

Braves outfielder Justin Upton will make $14.5 million this season before hitting free agency. The team, who's had an active offseason with the trades of Tommy La Stella and Jason Heyward, may be in the market to trade the slugger who hit .270/.354/.476 last season. His no-trade list includes the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Brewers and Toronto Blue Jays. Here are some of the teams that have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the Braves' leading home run hitter of the past two seasons:

There have been recent unconfirmed reports the Athletics were in conversations with the Braves regarding sluggers Justin Upton and Evan Gattis. A's pitcher Jeff Samardzija will not be part of any potential trade, according to the Bay Area News Group.

ESPN reports the Texas Rangers, in need of a corner outfielder, inquired about Justin Upton to place in right field as they plan to move Shin-Soo Choo to left field next season. The report also mentions an interest in the Braves pitcher, but did not reveal any names in the swap.

An online-inspired trade for Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto, or Mat Latos, appears to be more fantasy than reality.

The Padres reportedly inquired about acquiring Jason Heyward before the Braves shipped him to St. Louis. Among the names rumored to be part of a trade are pitchers Tyson Ross and Andrew Cashner, and outfielders Rymer Liriano and Michael Gettys.

The Mariners had a deal in place to acquire Justin Upton in 2013. Upton invoked his no-trade clause to Seattle and instead landed in Atlanta. The Mariners are not among Upton's no-trade clause teams this offseason.

New York Post reports that the Astros were among the first teams to contact the Braves regarding Justin Upton, but the price may be too steep for the AL squad.
