The New York Mets paid tribute to the Brooklyn Royal Giants of the Negro Leagues with these bright blue, bright orange uniforms. The Royal Giants unis, though, likely weren’t so loud and flashy. The Mets’ opponents, the Pittsburgh Pirates, wore less-garish throwbacks that honored the Pittsburgh Crawfords.
