Baseball’s long march to the postseason begins Thursday, with all 30 teams playing in a season opener. The Braves open the season at SunTrust Park with a late-afternoon game against the Phillies. Right-hander Julio Teheran will make his fifth consecutive opening-day start and will face Aaron Nola.

Last year, Teheran and the Braves opened on the road against the Mets on April 3. Teheran gave up no runs in six innings, but the bullpen gave up six runs in the next two innings in a 6-0 loss. This spring, Teheran was 4-0 with a 1.40 ERA in 25-2/3 innings. He struck out 17 and walked six.

Freddie Freeman has produced the most success against Nola. He is 6-for-16 (.375) with a home run and four RBIs. On the other end of the spectrum, Ender Inciarte is 4-for-17 (.235).
