Left fielder Hector Olivera went 1-for-4 in his first game with the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves Tuesday night.

The 31-year-old left fielder is on a minor-league rehab assignment after being suspended 82 games by Major League Baseball. Olivera was arrested and charged with assault and battery April 13 following an alleged domestic-violence incident at the Atlanta Braves’ team hotel in Arlington, Va.

Olivera hit .833 in his short stop at the Braves’ Gulf Coast League team before being promoted to Gwinnett Tuesday. He is eligible to rejoin the major-league Braves on Aug. 2, but team officials have said there’s no guarantee he will play for them again.

Gwinnett (41-56) lost to host Syracuse 4-3 and has dropped a season-worst eight games in a row.
