Catching has helped Evan Gattis's hitting.

The former Braves player started the season as the designated hitter for the Astros. He struggled at the plate and was sent to the minors to get comfortable as a catcher again, the position he played for the Braves.

Since Gattis returned to the majors and returned behind the plate, his hitting has improved. Gattis hit home runs in three straight games over the weekend and has gone deep in four of his last games.

He has nine homers and 23 RBIs this season, along with a .243 batting average. In the past week alone, he has four homers and 10 RBIs. He's raised his average 40 points in the last month and is on pace for a 25-homer season.

The Braves traded Gattis to the Astros in the deal that brought pitcher Mike Foltynewicz and third baseman Rio Ruiz to the Braves.
