Where: Turner Field

When: 7:35 p.m.

TV/Radio: FSSO/680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (5-6, 5.36 ERA) vs. LH Adam Morgan (5-6, 4.60)

What's new: The Braves snapped a 12-game losing streak when they last faced the Phillies Sept. 7-9 at Citizens Bank Park and took two of three in the series to snap a streak of six straight series losses. Entering Thursday night, the Braves were 1 ½ games ahead of the Phillies, who are in last place in the NL East and have the worst record in the majors. A.J. Pierzynski is hitting .341 (15-for-44) against the Phillies this season, with three doubles and four RBIs. Jace Peterson and Freddie Freeman are each hitting .321 against the Phillies. Nick Markakis had multi-hits in seven of his previous 10 games entering Thursday, including his 50th multi-hit game of the year Wednesday night. That ties him with Joey Votto for second most in the National League behind Dee Gordon, who has 52.
