Since the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966, the club has produced no-hitters, players hitting for the cycle and even a four-home run game by a player. But until Thursday night, it had been 58 years since all four of the club's infielders homered in the same game.

“I didn’t know until I saw it on ‘Sports Center’ or the MLB Network,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said Friday before the team opened a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at SunTrust Park.

The Braves got home runs from first baseman Freddie Freeman, second baseman Ozzie Albies, shortstop Swanson and third baseman Josh Donaldson.

That had not occurred since Sept. 19, 1961, when the club was still in Milwaukee. The Braves’ infield that night in San Francisco was made up of first baseman Joe Adcock, second baseman Frank Bolling, shortstop Roy McMillan and third baseman Eddie Mathews. The Braves lost that game 11-10.

“It was a long time ago,” Snitker said. “It’s pretty hard to do when you think about it.”
