Mike Foltynewicz is expected to miss his next start with a lacerated finger, according to Braves manager Brian Snitker.

“He’s probably going to miss a start,” Snitker said. “We’ll see how he feels.”

Snitker anticipates that day to be Wednesday. He said the team will decide who starts closer to the date, but it will likely be between rookies Max Fried and Lucas Sims.

Foltynewicz exited Thursday’s start in Washington after four innings with a cut on his finger. The Braves are 13-15 in Foltynewicz’s starts, but have lost seven in a row. Foltynewicz owns a 4.79 ERA and his 154 innings are a career-high.
