Bryse Wilson was sent to Triple-A Gwinnett following his most impressive start of the season. But he’ll soon return to the rotation.

Wilson, who allowed two runs over six innings in the Braves’ win over the Phillies on Wednesday, was sent down so the team could have another reliever available with four games remaining until the All-Star break.

The right-hander will pitch in Gwinnett on July 11 and return July 16 to start in Milwaukee, manager Brian Snitker said.

It will be Wilson’s fourth start this season, allowing him to build on an encouraging outing against a hot lineup.

“The breaking ball was a significant improvement over the last start,” Snitker said. “They went to work, and I was really encouraged with that. I don’t think he threw his change even as much as he could have. It was a good pitch for him. I was really impressed with the kid. That stuff is real.”
