The Gwinnett Braves took three of four games in grand fashion from the Buffalo Bison, as Mauro Gomez hit a home-run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Braves to a 4-3 win and put the team above .500.

The Braves (29-28) led early, as Stefan Gartrell hit his fourth homerun in three days, a two-run shot that put the Braves ahead 2-1 in the fourth inning. The teams both posted runs in the fifth inning and the Bison tied the score at 3-3 on an RBI single by Luis Hernandez in the sixth.

The Bison stranded two base runners in the seventh inning and did not threaten to score in the eighth or ninth innings. Gomez, leading off the ninth, belted his 11th home run of the season to win the game.

The Braves travel to Ohio where they begin a four-game series with Toledo, the first leg of an eight-game road trip that will also take the Braves to Durham, N.C. to take on the Bulls.
