Braves prospect Sean Newcomb got the loss as the Gwinnett Braves lost to the host Indianapolis Indians 4-1 on Friday night.

Newcomb (3-3) pitched six shutout innings before running into trouble in the seventh. He gave up a double and a walk and left with none out in the seventh. Four runs eventually scored in the inning.

Newcomb allowed four hits and two earned runs in six innings. He walked three and struck out seven.

Gwinnett second baseman Ozzie Albies had a hit to extend his streak to eight games and he also recorded his International League-leading 15th stolen base.

The loss was the fourth straight for Triple-A Gwinnett (27-26) on its current six-game road trip.
