Braves prospect Mike Soroka threw seven more shutout innings Thursday night for Double-A Mississippi to run his scoreless streak to 25 innings, writes Michael Leboff for MiLB.com.

Soroka, the Braves’ No. 4 prospect and No. 2 pitcher in the organization, lowered his season ERA to 2.23 and WHIP to 0.94, both placing him in the Southern League’s top five. And those are far from the only categories where he ranks highly.

At only 19 years old, Soroka is quickly rising up the ranks of a loaded Braves farm system. His numbers are piling up higher with each scoreless start.
