How the game was won: The Braves got to Kevin Correia right away, beginning the game with five hits and a walk to plate three runs before he got an out.

Cameron Maybin followed the four-run first inning with a homer to straightaway center in the second.

Atlanta scored four more runs in the fourth. Alex Wood started the one-out rally with a double that left him at third after Odubel Herrera’s error. Jace Peterson then walked, Cameron Maybin singled in Wood, Nick Markakis doubled in Maybin and Peterson, and Kelly Johnson singled in Markakis.

Maybin finished a triple shy of the cycle, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs and the homer.

Wood allowed four runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings. He’s now 6-5 with a 3.34 ERA.

The Phillies scored four of their five runs on long balls: Darin Ruf’s three-run homer in the fifth and Herrera’s solo shot in the eighth.
