Atlanta Braves outfielder Jason Heyward prepares to work out with the team for the first time after getting hit by a pitch before the Braves host the San Diego Padres at Turner Field Friday night in Atlanta, Ga., September 13, 2013. On August 21, 2013, Heyward was struck in the right jaw by a fastball from New York Mets pitcher Jonathon Niese. The injury required a surgery inserting two plates to stabilize the two fractures in his jaw.
