Braves lineup set: Freeman will extend his record

1B: Freddie Freeman has made seven opening-day starts … and counting. His streak began in 2011. 2B: Glenn Hubbard made eight opening-day starts in 1979 and 1981-87. SS: Rafael Ramirez made six starts at short from 1981-86. The Braves’ lineup was announced for opening day, and Freddie Freeman will extend his streak of opening-day starts to eight.

Freeman already held the record for opening-day starts at first base. Also, pitcher Julio Teheran will make his fifth consecutive opening-day start. That is a record streak for a pitcher since the team moved to Atlanta, but not the overall record for starts by a pitcher.

The Braves open the season at 4:10 p.m. against the Phillies at SunTrust Park.
