Braves interested in signing Tebow

The Braves search for talent may include the football field.

ExploreThe AJC's David O'Brien has confirmed that the Braves are interested in signing former quarterback Tim Tebow to a minor league deal.

Tebow, 29, had a tryout for 28 major-league teams Tuesday in Los Angeles.

The former Heisman Trophy winner at Florida has not played baseball since he was a high school junior in 2005.

The Braves have had good luck with two other former football players in the past. Brian Jordan and Deion Sanders both played well in their second sport.
