The Braves-Giants series is no Yankees TV draw but it’s been compelling to viewers across the nation, given the nature of the games. This division series has featured three one-run games in the first three games, while no other game this postseason has been decided by one run.

The Yankees-Twins division series was watched in an average of 3.7 percent of U.S. TV households, according to numbers released by Turner Sports on Monday. The Braves-Giants had averaged a 2.9 percent of U.S. TV households, the same rating as the Phillies-Reds received. The Rays-Rangers series has averaged only a 1.8.

For average number of total viewers nationally, the first three games of the Braves-Giants series were within 51,000 of the Phillies-Reds totals, trailing that series 4,664,000 to 4,613,000.

“With two strong fan bases and each game decided by a single run, the series has delivered a solid audience for the network,” said a representative from Turner Sports.
