Atlanta's Tim Hudson got the start for the Braves, also taking the loss. Hudson dropped to 4-3.

For Washington, former Braves pitcher Jason Marquis took the mound.

Washington's Jerry Hairston Jr. (15) steals second base as Braves shortstop Diory Hernandez (24) applies the late tag in the fourth.

Marquis moves to 4-1 on the season with the win over his former team.
