Braves-Cubs: 5 things to know today

The Atlanta Braves play at Wrigley Field today (2:20 p.m., FSSE) to make up the game from April 15 that postponed due to inclement weather.

Braves players will wear the No. 42 jerseys they would have worn in observance of Jackie Robinson Day.

The teams met twice in April during a chilly stint in which the Braves split the two games.

• The Braves have lost 16 of their last 21 games against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, dating back to July 18, 2015.

• Julio Teheran starts for the Braves. He is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in three career starts at Wrigley Field. He will face off against Cubs left hander Jose Quintana, who is 2-0 with a 7.71 ERA in three career games against Atlanta.

• Quintana is the eighth lefty starter the Braves have faced in their last 11 games. The Braves have the second-best OPS (.815) in the majors against all lefties. They are 7-3 against lefty starters this season.

• The Braves enter the game nine games over .500. The last time the team was nine games over. 500 was after play on July 29, 2014, when they were 58-49.

• Both team will travel to Atlanta after today’s game to open a three-game series tomorrow at SunTrust Park. (Tomorrow’s projected starters are Mike Foltynewicz (3-2, 3.21) for Braves and Yu Darvish (0-3, 6.00) for Chicago.
