How the winning run scored: Joey Terdoslavich's sacrifice fly with one out in the eighth inning Tuesday night drove home Tyler Pastornicky and gave the Gwinnett Braves a 5-3 lead over the host Syracuse Chiefs, which held up for the G-Braves' sixth consecutive victory.

At the plate: Pastornicky was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Pastornicky hit a two-run homer in the third and a run-scoring double in the first. Todd Cunningham and Paul Janish each was 2-for-4.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Daniel Rodriguez (3-3) lasted six innings, throwing 88 pitches. He gave up two runs on three hits, and he walked four and struck out seven. For the season, Rodriguez has struck out 9.45 batters per nine innings and walked 6.48.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (23-30) meet the host Chiefs (22-29) in the third game of their series, at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Left-hander Yohan Flande (2-4, 4.70 ERA) is scheduled to start against lefty Danny Rosenbaum (5-2, 3.15) of Syracuse.
