We took note of where some ex-Braves were during spring training. Now let's check in on them as the regular season begins. JARROD SALTALAMACCHIA (right), like the Red Sox as a whole, needs to heat up soon. He's hitting a mere .138 with 13 strikeouts in 10 games.

Braves fans remember how well JAVIER VAZQUEZ performed for Atlanta on the mound, so it can't be thrilling to see him in a Marlins uniform. Then again, his current 7.43 ERA may be the scariest thing about him (right now).

MARK DeROSA (front) and the Giants look to repeat as World Series champs this season. DeRosa is getting things off to a good start, posting 3 RBI and a .429 average to date.

In 2010, JASON MARQUIS posted a 2-9 record, 6.60 ERA, with the Nationals. He has yet to win (or lose) a game in 2011, but his ERA is a little high early on at 3.65.

WILSON BETEMIT (center) was once the Braves' top prospect but now he's a solid anchor for the Royals. He's hitting a healthy .387 with 7 RBI, 4 doubles and a homer to start 2011.

Washington first baseman ADAM LaROCHE usually turns on the gas as the season wears on. But he has 9 hits in 11 games for a .214 average.

WES HELMS is starting solid for Florida. He's hitting .357 with 5 hits in 14 at-bats.
