How the winning run scored: With one out in the top of the sixth inning, Gwinnett's Ernesto Mejia delivered a two-run home run that gave the G-Braves a 2-1 lead. Corey Wimberly led off the inning with a single and stole second. He scored on Mejia's blast to center field.

At the plate: Six G-Braves batters had one hit apiece. Sean Kazmar had the team's only extra-base hit other than Mejia's homer, a double in the second inning.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Sean Gilmartin (2-0) pitched eight innings, allowing one run on five hits. He walked one and struck out two. Louisville starter Armando Galarraga lasted five innings and allowed no runs. He gave up three hits and struck out five.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (12-11) continue their trip at 7:05 p.m. with the first game of a four-game series at Indianapolis. Left-hander Yohan Flande (1-0, 3.31 ERA) is scheduled to start for Gwinnett against Gerrit Cole (1-1, 2.76) of the Indians.
