Braves' arbitration players

Braves come to terms with several players who filed for arbitration.

Outfielder Jordan Schafer made $512,500 with the Braves last season. He will reportedly make $1.09 million next season.

Third baseman Chris Johnson, who ranked second in the NL with a .321 batting average, made $2.29 million in salary after his trade from Arizona to Atlanta. Johnson avoided arbitration and will make $4.75 million in 2014.

Braves pitcher Kris Medlen, who joined the rotation full time last season, is second-year arbitration-eligible and received $2.6 million in salary last year. Medlen and the Braves agreed to one-year, $5.8 million deal.

Braves pitcher Mike Minor made 32 starts last season, pulling in a $505,000 salary.

Braves outfielder Jason Heyward gained a $3.65 million salary as a first-time arbitration-eligible last year.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, who finished fourth in this year's National League Most Valuable Player Award balloting, made $560,000 last season.

Braves closer Craig Kimbrel has thrown 227-1/3 innings over the past four seasons while posting a 1.39 ERA. Kimbrel, eligible for the arbitration process for the first time this year, will likely see a huge bump in his $655,000 paycheck.
