The Braves placed starter Anibal Sanchez on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a right hamstring strain.

Anibal Sanchez collapsed while running sprints in the outfield before the Braves’ game against the Phillies.

Sanchez appeared motionless for a few minutes while team trainers addressed him. Braves manager Brian Snitker and several teammates joined the scrum.

Sanchez was carted off the field with his left leg in an air cast.

The team could opt to promote one of several Triple-A options to fill in for Sanchez until lefty Luiz Gohara is ready to rejoin team, including Matt Wisler, who’s scheduled to start Friday.

Lucas Sims, promoted to the bullpen Monday, could be another internal option.
