Kolby Allard’s first three starts this season were good, but not great. The past four have been dazzling.

In his most recent start, Allard allowed two hits and no runs in eight innings Sunday and struck out eight with one walk.

He has pitched 13 consecutive scoreless innings.

Ranked as the No. 7 Braves prospect by Baseball America, the fifth pitcher in the group, Allard’s first three starts for the Triple-A Stripers left him with a 1-1 record and a 3.68 ERA. Over the past four, Allard is 2-0 with an ERA of 0.66.

Here’s the breakdown: In his first three starts, Allard pitched 14-2/3 innings and allowed six earned runs on 12 hits. He walked six and struck out 13. In his past four starts, Allard pitched 27-1/3 innings and gave up two earned runs on 20 hits. He walked seven and struck out 19.

The total for the season: 3-1 record with a 1.71 ERA. In 42 innings he has recorded 32 strikeouts and walked 13. He’s allowed eight runs on 32 hits.
