A minor league baseball player is recovering after getting smashed in the face with a 90 mph fastball according to Business Insider.
Amazingly, he left the field on his own, and sent a photo to a friend who posted it on Twitter.
Delino DeShields Jr, who plays for the Houston Astros Double-A team the Corpus Christi Hooks, has a broken cheekbone and a swollen face, but his coach said it could have been much worse.
Click2Houston reported DeShields was released from the hospital Saturday morning.
In an interview with Fox Sports, DeShields hopes to be off the field for no longer than a month.
