Atlanta United’s 2022 MLS opener will open to full capacity

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is scheduled to be open to full capacity for Atlanta United’s 2022 season-opening game against Sporting KC on Feb. 27.

The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.

On Tuesday, MLS announced home openers for teams.

Atlanta United has a 13-2-6 record in games when Mercedes-Benz Stadium was open to full capacity. The team also has led MLS in average announced home attendance in each of its first four seasons. The team had an announced attendance average of 43,964 this season.
