Atlanta United’s first-team players received their first dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The stadium is Federal mass vaccination site.

The players were registered for vaccinations after the state opened up the treatment to all age groups.

The Pfizer vaccine requires a second shot in 21 days. The Centers for Disease Control reports that the vaccine is 95 percent effective.
