Atlanta United tops online jersey sales in MLS

According to the team, Atlanta United ranks No. 1 in online jersey sales among MLS teams this season.

Club President Darren Eales, speaking on 92.9 the Game on Wednesday, said that Atlanta United ranks second only to the Chicago Cubs in jersey sales among pro sports teams in North America.

The club declined to reveal the number of jerseys sold, nor the revenue. They are following MLS guidelines on not providing that information.

The team (1-1-0) will host Chicago on Saturday at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Atlanta United is one of two expansion teams. The other is Minnesota United.
