Atlanta United’s Martinez receives MLS monthly honor

Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez was named the MLS player of the month on Tuesday after scoring six goals in five games during the month.

Martinez, 26, has scored in 13 consecutive league games, a record. He has 23 goals this season. Atlanta United, third in the East with 48 points, will host Columbus on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
