Atlanta United’s Jones won’t make debut tonight

Atlanta United on-loan player Kenwyne Jones will not make his debut for Central FC tonight against Vancouver in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The club is finishing the paperwork that would allow him to play internationally, according to a release from the firm that handles Jones’ public relations.

Central FC’s next schedule game is against another MLS side, Sporting KC, on Aug. 16 in Trinidad and Tobago.

Atlanta United announced the signing of Jones on July 15.

In other personnel news involving the team, Atlanta United confirmed that midfielder Chris McCann is going to go on loan with Coventry City in England’s League One.
