Goalkeeper Brad Guzan, 7: Forced to punch a shot over the crossbar in the sixth minute. ... That’s about all he had to do.

Right fullback Anton Walkes, 7: Out after 70 minutes after another solid defensive effort. ... Speedy Emmanuel Boateng was a non-factor.

Centerback Michael Parkhurst, 8: Combining with Pirez, they handled Gyasi Zardes and Gio dos Santos with little trouble. ... Santos had just one shot on target in the first half.
