The Hawks have hired Landry Fields as an assistant general manager, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The news was first reported by ESPN.

Fields, who is 32, played five seasons in the NBA from 2010-15 and was previously GM of the Austin Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs' G League affiliate.
