Falcons tight end Parker Hesse was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.

Hesse’s activation puts the Falcons back to 53 players on their roster after cornerback Kendall Sheffield was placed on non-designated injured reserve Wednesday. Sheffield could return over the next three weeks.

Hesse, who played at Iowa, was on Tennessee’s practice squad the past two seasons. He played defensive end in college. He’s 6-foot-3 and 261 pounds. He moved to tight end while with the Titans.
