FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons linebacker Nate Landman, who is the team’s third leading tackler, has a thigh injury and missed practice Wednesday, according to the team’s official injury report.

Also, running back/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson and defensive end Calais Campbell both received rest days and did not practice.

“(Landman) has a shot to play, but we’re just being cautious with him, lower body,” coach Arthur Smith said. “Nothing significant, but we’ll hold Nate out today. We’ll have to monitor that.”

Landman has 73 tackles, two sacks and four tackles for loss. He took over for Troy Andersen after he was injured. Andre Smith Jr. is listed behind Landman on the depth chart, and linebacker Frank Ginda was signed to the practice squad.

Wide receiver Mack Hollins (ankle) and left tackle Jake Matthews (hip) were limited in practice.

Cornerback Mike Hughes (hand) fully participated in practice.
