The Atlanta Falcons’ roster has undergone some considerable turnover from last season.
The league relaxed some rules on changing numbers for the upcoming season, allowing some positions that previously weren’t permitted to now have numbers in the single digits.

While few players have taken the opportunity to swap numbers (for example, Russell Gage), the majority of open numbers have been taken up with rookies and free agents. Also of note, two players entered mandatory minicamp in June wearing the same number.
