FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons defensive back A.J. Terrell (concussion) and wide receiver Russell Gage (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, according to the team’s official injury report.

Terrell is in the concussion protocol, and Gage suffered an ankle injury against the Bucs. He returned to action, but appeared to aggravate the injury.

“We’ll know more by the end of the week,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said of Gage. “Those things are tricky. Sometimes, when you get to those kind of injuries. ... He’ll be very limited, but there is always a chance. We’ll know more Friday.”

Smith wasn’t ready to rule out Terrell, but T.J. Green could make his first start since the 2017 season.

“It’s no different than Russell. You have to be able to adapt and have contingency plans,” Smith said. “That’s what we’ll do.”
