Falcons starting left cornerback A.J. Terrell left Sunday’s 48-25 loss to the Buccaneers with a concussion and did not return.

Terrell had two tackles and two pass breakups.

The 12-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Chris Godwin that helped to put the game away was on Terrell’s side of the field, with Isaiah Oliver in coverage.

Losing Terrell would be a big blow to the the Falcons’ struggling defense.

“Don’t really think about it too much, you know it’s next man up,” Falcons linebacker Deion Jones said. “We trust the guy who’s behind A.J. It (hurts) that he went out like that, but T.J. (Green) still played tough, still flew around and we appreciate him for that.”
