Falcons injury report: Patterson could miss ‘a couple weeks’ with ankle injury

Nov 15, 2021

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons running back/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has a sprained ankle and could miss ‘a couple of weeks,’ according to NFL Media.

Patterson’s injury was not announced during the game. He played just 15 snaps in the 43-3 blowout at Dallas and five snaps on special teams.

On the projected injury report, Patterson was listed as limited with an ankle injury.

Patterson, 30, has been one of the Falcons’ top offensive weapons. He helped win the game over the Saints with a 64-yard reception in the final minute of the game.

“Well obviously, that hits our offense hard,” wide receiver Russell Gage said on Monday. “We’re already on to the next play, the next game and the next man up is kind of how we look at it. (Wayne) Gallman came in and did a great job to me.”

Patterson has 116 touches for 776 yards and seven touchdowns for the Falcons this season.

The Falcons still are evaluating it, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reported the nine-year veteran could miss “a couple weeks.”

Patterson played for New England during the 2018 season.

Here’s the Falcons official injury report:

Atlanta did not practice Monday. The Monday practice report is an estimate.
