Some Atlanta United fans were not thrilled with Tuesday's news that Mercedes-Benz Stadium's opener would be delayed yet again.

The stadium's third delay affected three Atlanta United home games and the soccer team opening of the stadium, enticing some fans to start a petition for a partial refund on season tickets.

In a statement on the online petition on GoPetition.com, the fans wrote, "We, the undersigned, request that Atlanta United FC provide a 25 percent discount in the form of a credit or refund for any and all remaining 2017 home games not played at Mercedes Benz Stadium after July 4, 2017. This is to include any home playoff games following the 2017 regular season.

“Additionally, we request that all season ticket prices be frozen through the 2020 MLS season at the publicly published rate as of January 1, 2017.”

As of Wednesday morning, the petition had 25 signatures.

Atlanta United’s first game inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium will now be the Sept. 9 match against Dallas.

Mercedes Benz stadium roof issues has already delayed the opening twice, leaving Atlanta United to play its seventh game of the year elsewhere.
