Cedar Point, a sister amusement park to Kings Island, has pledged to name a roller coaster after LeBron James if he goes back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"Hey @KingJames - come back to the @cavs and we'll rename one of our coasters, "King James!" Ball in your court, sir. RT, #Ohio!" the Sandusky amusement park posted on its Twitter page.
Crain's Cleveland Business reports that company says the pledge came straight from Matt Ouimet, CEO of Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., the parent company of Cedar Point, Kings Island and other amusement parks.
“It’s a legit offer,” spokesman Bryan Edwards told Crain’s.
The Cavs are reportedly very, very interested in bringing James, a free agent now with the Miami Heat, back to Cleveland.
According to The Associated Press, the Cavs freed up enough money Wednesday to offer James a maximum contract by agreeing to trade guard Jarrett Jack, swingman Sergey Karasev and center Tyler Zeller in a deal with Brooklyn and Boston. Miami Heat president Pat Riley also met with James on Wednesday, according to AP reports.
Meanwhile, rumors swirled after ESPN's Jorge Sedano tweeted a photo of what appears to be moving trucks for exotic cars outside James' home. The Bleacher Report, however, said James "moves his cars every summer."
James famously announced his decision to leave Cleveland for Miami live on ESPN on July 8, 2010.
