It wasn't enough that a French gymnast severely injured his leg during the vault preliminaries at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Samir Ait Said, 26, left to a standing ovation Saturday.

However, he was dropped by paramedics while they tried loading him into an ambulance.

He has withdrawn from the games.

Said is recovering at a nearby hospital.
