Adam 'Pacman' Jones troubled career

A warrant has been issued in Fulton County seeking the arrest of former Westlake High star Adam Pacman Jones for his alleged involvement in a Jan. 3 altercation at the Body Tap Strip Club. The latest in a string of incidents dating back to his first days in the NFL.

Adam "Pacman" Jones, the West Virginia cornerback out of Westlake High in Southwest Atlanta, was the first defensive back taken in the 2005 NFL draft, going sixth overall to Tennessee.

Among Jones' arrests in 2005 was at Club Blaze in Conley, Ga., when officers responded to a fight involving two women.

In his 2005 rookie season, Jones made his biggest impact on special teams. His return to training camp in 2006 was marred after yet another incident at a nightclub.

Among Jones' arrests in 2006 was for an incident outside a bar, in which he was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Officers saw Jones arguing loudly with a woman outside a nightclub according to the police report. The 22-year-old Jones was described by police as slurring his speech, having bloodshot eyes and smelling strongly of alcohol. The arrest came the day after the Titans broke training camp.

In his second year, the 5-foot-10 Jones grabbed 4 interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, and three punts returned for touchdowns. He recorded 1 sack and 63 tackles -- and a one-game suspension for off-the-field incidents. It was the start of a rebirth of the Titans defense. He would not be allowed to return for his third year. The Titans cornerback was suspended for the 2007 season forfeiting his $1,292,500 salary.

Jones' sixth overall arrest came in June 2007 resulted in an indictment on two felony counts of coercion stemming from a February fight at a Las Vegas strip club that left a bouncer paralyzed during the NBA All-Star weekend. He is expected to take a plea deal that will get him probation in return for testimony.

In his off time from football, Jones picked up "wrestling thing." And he managed to earn a title. Jones defended the tag team gold along with Ron "the Truth" Killings. Defending his decision, Jones said: "I don't know what you all want me to do. Just sit in the house and be miserable all day?"

He has yet to be convicted of a crime.
