In his first season, Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham continues to fill out his front office.

He made a key hire with the addition of Jeff Scott as assistant general manager, which the team announced Wednesday.

Scott comes to the Falcons from the Philadelphia Eagles, where he spent five seasons in various roles — including vice president of football operations for the past two seasons, director of football ops for two previous seasons and one season as a senior pro scout in 2021.

Cunningham and Scott crossed paths with the Eagles in 2021, and Scott previously served with the Washington Commanders in their scouting department.

“First and foremost, this is a relationship business. I want to thank Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles for granting permission to allow Jeff the opportunity to take on this role and advance his career,” Cunningham said in a team statement. “We are thrilled to have Jeff become a member of our team.

“While Jeff and I worked together in Philadelphia for a short period of time, I quickly realized he is a man of integrity, he has a high degree of attention to detail and discipline, while always treating everyone with respect. His values align with ours, as does his mission to help build a team that consistently competes for championships. Jeff brings a breadth of experience across all football operations and a keen eye for talent. We want to welcome Jeff, Rachel, and Alivia to Atlanta.”

The Falcons revamped their front office in the offseason, with the additions of Matt Ryan as president of football, Cunningham as general manager and Kevin Stefanski as head coach.
