Savannah Police are investigating a shooting on the city's east side and need the public's help in locating a suspect.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Savannah Police responded to a shots fired call at the 200 block of Crescent Drive in the Savannah Gardens neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found a male with life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was seen fleeing the scene, headed westbound toward Pennsylvania Avenue. According to Keturah Green, SPD spokesperson, the suspect is a Black male wearing a black skullcap, a black hoodie, and wearing a gray or black backpack. Detectives were still at the scene.
