A 4-year-old boy drowned in a pool Wednesday in Clayton County.

Clayton County police responded to a home around 5:30 p.m. on Winding Way Lane in Jonesboro, where they found the boy in the pool, according to a news release from the department.

The boy was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
